I stopped here to do some writing. The spot is nice and airy with a vaulted ceiling and natural light. I ordered coffee and sat by a window, but noticed a little sign asking patrons coming to “work” to avoid doing so between 11-2, as that was their lunch period and their primary source of income.
Well, I knew I’d be fine so long as the tables weren’t full up, but I just grew paranoid and couldn’t focus, so I left and went to Starbucks. I’d love to spend more time there, given the nice atmo and cozy leather chairs by the fireplace, but if I can’t relax for fear of being asked to leave, I’d rather just take extra care when I show up.
And to be clear, I understand their policy and even support it. You’re a business — if you can’t meet your bottom line, you’re going out of business. I just don’t feel I got the full experience for my quick in-and-out.
