High End Italian Rolls with Punches

I had dinner with a large family, including two adults, four boys and toddler at Salute the other night. Once we entered, I realized it wasn’t a family restaurant, but I wasn’t the one choosing the locale. We were seated in the back (which is really kind of the front since we had windows looking out over the coastal highway and the gulf).

Our waiter was immediately responsive and on top of things. He engaged, spoke with the kids, provided what was requested and generally was an all-star. We ordered appetizers and meals and water and lemons and he never faltered. I think his name was Chet, possibly.

I ordered the spaghetti bolognese and it was very good. The atmo was casual and generally adult, despite our party, and definitely a place I’d like to return to with just adults for a bit more relaxing time.

With a full bar and relaxed environment, this is a place I really enjoyed and would like to return!
